Changes to the GP Contract require all practices to offer and promote the enhanced facility for patients to view on-line, export or print any summary information from their records relating to medications, immunisations, test results, allergies and adverse reactions. This is an extension to the online service we have provided before which allows patients to make appointments, cancel appointments and order repeat medications. Please see this link to register or to log-in if you are a current user of 'online access'. Even if you were an existing user, in order to use the advanced online items you will have to register for this so please ensure you read the information provided carefully.
Please note that the online repeat prescription service is for straightforward repeat prescription requests only. We are unable to deal with changes to items, dosage or quantities through this method. If you need to make a change or ask for a different medication please put this in writing or contact the prescribing clerk at the practice directly. The prescribing clerk is available Mon-Fri 8.30-12.30pm only. We do not take requests for standard repeat prescriptions over the telephone.
Please note that the online access service for making appointments is to make routine appointments with a GP only. You cannot make appointments online if the GP also needs to be supported by the nurse or HCA (ie for minor surgery) or for any appointments managed by the nurses as this is dependent on the right nurse with the right skills. Please always ring the surgery to check if you are unsure and make these more specific appointments with the right clinicians and at the right times
