If you take medication regularly your doctor may suggest that you can order it as a repeat prescription. You can request a repeat prescription by:
- Handing in your request slip at reception or putting it in the prescription box at reception (or using the box on the wall outside the building when we are closed)
- Posting your request slip to us
- Faxing your request on 020 8773 1801
- Using our online request service via patient online
- Using a local pharmacy's request service
To avoid mistakes and to ease telephone congestion WE DO NOT TAKE REPEAT PRESCRIPTION REQUESTS OVER THE TELEPHONE. Please help us by ordering your prescription in good time; allow at least 72 working hours (3 full working days) for your prescription to be fully processed and do not ask staff to process these more quickly as we do not have the resources to do so.
When you receive your prescription you may be asked to make an appointment with the doctor or practice nurse. This is to check your current state of health and make sure that no change to your medication is needed. Please do not ignore these messages as it may cause delays when you next need medication if you have not made the appointment as requested.
Online Prescriptions
Click the image below to book and cancel appointments, order repeat prescriptions or check your medical records online once you have registered.
Please note that the online repeat prescription service is for straightforward repeat prescription requests only. We are unable to deal with changes to items, dosage or quantities through this method. If you need to make a change or ask for a different medication please contact the practice directly. Thank you.
Prescribing Queries
We have a prescribing clerk available between 8.30am - 12.30pm Monday to Friday who can answer all queries on prescriptions. Choose option 3 on the phone to go straight through to the prescribing clerk. She will NOT take requests for repeat prescriptions over the phone as previously detailed but she can answer queries about missing items or changes to repeat prescriptions.
Electronic Prescribing
We are now live with Electronic Prescribing (EPS2). If you wish to make use of this service please obtain and complete a nomination form (also available here) and take it to the pharmacy of your choice. Please do not return this form to the practice. The pharmacy chosen can be local to your home or place of work or other convenient location. Once a pharmacy has been nominated any items sent electronically will go to this pharmacy. If you are new to the area and have previously nominated a pharmacy elsewhere please consider if this needs to be changed or you may find your repeat medication goes to the wrong place. If you have previously nominated a particular pharmacy to collect your prescriptions, you will now need to indicate on the form that you will be using electronic prescribing in future. This process should speed things up and prevent the need for that pharmacy to collect from the surgery.
